1. The website and Synsco ID
You may use sysnco.ca and Synsco ID for your own purposes. Synsco ID is optional; no Synsco product needs it to work. You are responsible for the email address you sign in with. We may suspend an account that abuses the service (for example, automated sign-in requests or claiming serials that are not yours). You can delete your account yourself at any time, and we delete every record with it.
2. Prices, estimates and quotes
The site shows two kinds of numbers. Estimated component costs for the Lite kit and the Flagship are estimates of what the parts cost to buy; they are not a price from Synsco and they change with suppliers. Quotes for Full mirrors are written offers we send after you request one; a quote is valid for the period stated on it, typically 30 days, and becomes a contract when you accept it in writing and pay the deposit it names. The configurator's render is labelled a preview because it is one; the mirror is made to the measurements we confirm with you.
3. Made-to-order Full mirrors
- Each Full mirror is manufactured for one wall. Once glass is cut, the order cannot be cancelled for a refund of the deposit; before that point, it can.
- Lead times in a quote are estimates. We report progress on the order timeline in Synsco ID and by email. Delays caused by glass or panel suppliers extend the lead time; they do not change the price.
- Installation, when quoted, includes mounting on a wall we have inspected. Electrical work is performed by a licensed electrician and is quoted separately.
- Warranty: two years on the frame, electronics and lighting; one year on the glass against manufacturing defects. Breakage after delivery is not covered.
4. Lite kits and the Flagship
Lite kits are sold as parts and instructions. You assemble them; you are responsible for the phone you place in the cradle and for testing the hatch and cradle with a case before trusting it. Assembled Lite units and Flagship units carry a one-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Firmware is provided as is under its open-source licence; flashing your own build is allowed and voids nothing unless it damages the hardware.
5. Open source
Software is published under MIT or Apache-2.0 as marked in each repository; hardware designs under CERN-OHL. Those licences, not these terms, govern what you may do with the code and the designs. The Synsco name and wordmark are not covered by those licences.
6. Privacy
What we store and why is in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: no imagery, ever; two cookies after sign-in; deletion in one click.
7. Liability
To the extent Ontario law allows, Synsco's liability for any claim relating to the site, Synsco ID or a product is limited to the amount you paid for that product in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud, or any consumer right that cannot be excluded.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; the effective date at the top changes when we do, and the history is public in the site's repository. Continued use after a change means you accept it. If a change affects an order in progress, the terms in force when you accepted the quote apply to that order.
